Ciao!

My name is Simone, and I am an Italian science communicator specializing in mathematics and quantitative sciences in general. I like to work in the sweet intersection between creativity and rigor, bringing abstract concepts to life through visual or narrative techniques. I help research groups disseminate their work, design visuals for campaigns and social media, lead workshops in science communication, and collaborate with publishing houses.

I have been experimenting with interactive games and narratives for both education and dissemination purposes. If you have any cool ideas on combining mathematics with some medium nobody else has tried before, let me know!

I designed the visual identity for the very first fundraising campaign of the International Center for Theoretical Physics, which included three different hand-made animations to accompany calls to action and newsletters.

The illustration was printed on the 2025 greetings cards used by researchers and staff of the International Center for Theoretical Physics. It mixed an hand-drawn illustration with a real picture of ICTP’s iconic terrace.

Together with Daniela Volpatto, I designed a series of workshops for high-school students on data-driven decision making and data visualizations. The project was supported by SISSA and the Comune di Trieste.

I designed, hosted, and produced a podcast for the Mathematics Münster scicomm team. Each episode was centered on a conversation with an early-career mathematician from the Cluster of Excellence.
