Raccontare la conosc(i)enza is a workshop on science communication supported through European and regional funds of Friuli Venezia Giulia. It was designed together with Raffaele Tarditi and with the gracious hospitality of Petit Soleil, in Trieste. The participants went through the basics of science communication and stage execution and prepared a small talk (7-10 minutes) that was delivered in a show as part of Spring Festival.

The ON-AIR project is a research project led by the Quantitative Biology group and supported by Fondazione Compagnia di San Paolo. I am responsible for every aspect of its communication, from graphic and web design to social media coverage, dissemination materials (videos), and outreach events.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING ⋅ Statistics & data visualisation
Ottavia: I dati intorno a noi is an educational activity targeted at high-school students from non-scientific Italian high schools (specifically so-called artistic high schools) and supported by SISSA and Comune di Trieste. I designed it alongside Daniela Volpatto as an entryway to the use of statistics and data visualisations to understand reality. Ottavia included interactive activities, games, and a final project where pupils had to plan their own data visualisation in the form of a garment or an installation.
Escape Epidemic
VISUAL AND DIGITAL STORYTELLING ⋅ Bioinformatics
Escape Epidemic is an educational board game where pupils discover the use of statistics, biology, and medicine to tackle the cholera epidemic of 1854. The game – a tabletop escape room – was built by research from the Quantitative Biology group and presented in workshops and board games festivals. I designed the cover for the game.
On A Tangent: Voices of Mathematics Münster
RESEARCH DISSEMINATION ⋅ Mathematics
I designed the On A Tangent podcast as part of the outreach and science communication activities of the Cluster of Excellence Mathematics Münster. In each episode, I interviewed a different early career mathematician from the Cluster to explore the stories behind the mathematicians. A second season is currently being hosted and produced by Carlo Kaul.
